FlipSidePA Panel picks for the weekend

Each week, some York County locals share what they are doing this weekend. Some favor art, theater, craft beer, wine or music. Some simply like finding something different to do each week. Whatever your interest, see what they're up to this week in October - it might help you plan your Friday or Saturday night.

Rita Whitney (usually found in Royal Square): Thursday night, I am going to drink a pint for charity!  Holy Hound Taproom is hosting a fundraiser for Leg Up Farm and Family First Health from 5-7 p.m.  And then on Sunday after cleaning up from our Halloween/Pumpkin Carving Party, I plan to attend the Bring Signs, Bring Peace Anti-Violence rally that the Punks for Positivity have organized.  It's a combination peace march/litter pickup event that starts at Continental Square at 11 a.m.

Mary Yeaple (parade lady): This week, I am looking forward to attending the 7th annual Downtown Hoedown, to benefit the Farm & Natural Lands Trust. Good food and music, and lots of interesting auction items.

John Bobby (craft beer guy): On Saturday, I'll be going to the Halloween costume party at Bube's Brewery in Mount Joy. There will be live bands and music. The cover is $10. On Sunday, Midtown Cinema is playing a simulcasted performance of Benedict Cumberbatch in Hamlet, performed live in London's West End. The show starts at 4 p.m.

Lyn Bergdoll (theater lady): I am going to be very brave and visit Kim’s Krypt Haunted Mill in Spring Grove.  This Haunted Mill was in business for 25 years. I drove by it many times, but never went inside. Now there is new ownership, and four additional attractions are a part of it. It should be very scary indeed!
