Things to do: Yorkers weekend picks

Todd Fogdall, new to York: The Fogdalls are looking forward to our first Light Up Night in downtown York. Can’t wait to see the big tree illuminated! #LUNyork

Kate Harmon, downtown shopper: Heading over to the Bandit Bazaar Holiday Market at The Bond for some holiday shopping. 45+ vendors will be selling everything from
jewelry to T-shirts and cosmetics.

John Bobby, loves local shows: On Saturday I'll be at Central Market for the latest Kable House Presents show; Joe Fletcher and the Wrong Reasons and opening act August John Lutz II.

Mary Yeaple, does all-things Irish: For my weekend plans, I am looking forward to the 45th annual Scottish Christmas Walk in Alexandria, VA. It is a parade of bagpipe bands! How cool is that?

Kara Gonzales, York College student: I'm heading out on the town this First Friday to soak up all of the lights and winter fashions. I hope to stop by the new Korean stand in Central Market for a cup of delicious food. Last time I stopped by they had already sold out!

Lyn Bergdoll, theater lady: I can’t wait to see "Elf" at the Fulton Theatre. As I have never seen it on stage, I’m looking forward to the fun and laughter I am sure it will bring!
