PA Herb and Garden Festival: Find out what's planned


Learn more about growing herbs and plants from more than 100 vendors at the 18th Annual Pennsylvania Herb and Garden Festival in York this spring.

The essentials

The festival is April 8 and 9 in Memorial Hall at the York Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Ave., York. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 8 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 9. Tickets are available at the door. Celebrities

Hear from herb and garden experts including Central PA garden writer and horticulturist George Weigel, who will speak on How to Grow Dinner, and founder & CEO of Healthy Living Kitchen Michelle Wohlfarth, who will speak on Simple Recipes to Inspire Health, Wellness & Weight Control. Lectures are free to attend. No advanced registration is needed.

Water color artist Bobbi Becker will sketch during the event and have art for sale.

Workshops

Create a decorative cloche ($40), make an herb container garden ($25), build a gnome a home ($20), create a succulent basket garden ($25) or make herbal vinegar ($20) at one of the Herb and Garden Festival's workshops.
