DreamWrights Celebration

It might not be a Fourth of July celebration, but this DreamWrights event will be a don’t-miss party for those who love York entertainment. The center for community arts is kicking off its $2.5 million capital campaign with live music, food trucks, theater acts and dance performances. While munching on a Mad Dash grilled cheese or Savory’s pumpkin funnel cake, you’ll enjoy entertainment from acts like York’s own pop rock trio Kingsfoil, the cast of “Legally Blonde,” the YWCA Temple Guard Drill Team and Greater York Dance. The free event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at 100 Carlisle Ave., York. Click here for more info.

Celebrate Christmas in July at First Friday

First Friday is always a great reason to visit downtown York. But this month’s Christmas in July theme means even more themed fun. Don’t miss our FlipSidePA Happy Hour at the Yorktowne Hotel’s Offcenter Grill from 5 to 7 p.m. We’ll have delicious specialty Christmas cocktails, free appetizers, live carolers, an ugly Christmas tie contest and a photo booth to document all the fun. Then, head to Otto’s Kitchen & Cocktails for some adult milk and cookies or take the kids to Creative York for a winter wonderland craft. Downtown York won’t have this much Christmas spirit ‘til December, so don’t miss your chance to celebrate!
