News bites: Pippinfest, Dickinson jazz, Hershey Fall Fest and Rock n Roll Relics
Pippinfest
FAIRFIELD >> The 35th Annual Pippinfest runs 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26-27, with craft and food vendors, musicians affiliated with the Gettysburg Buskers, walking tours, a quilt show, a kid's corner and a cruise-in car show and swap meet.
A community yard sale with more than 40 registered vendors is Saturday, and Sunday is the main event featuring more than 100 craft and food vendors and additional entertainment by area musicians.

Jazz at Dickinson
CARLISLE >> The Faculty Jazz Group at Dickinson College present an evening of familiar and not-so-familiar jazz standards beginning at 7 p.m. in the social hall of the Holland Union Building, Dickinson College, 28 N College St., Carlisle.
The group includes Jeff Wohlbach, trumpet; Greg Strohman, trombone; Tim James, piano; Jim Miller, bass; Dave Zygmunt, drums and Tom Strohman, saxophone, performing the music of Kenny Barron, Benny Golson, Ted Grouya, George Cables, Herbie Hancock, Bobby Timmons, Clare Fischer, Richie Beirach, Wayne Shorter, Thomas Waller and Christian McBride.
Admission is free.
Chocolatetown Fall Fest
HERSHEY >> Hershey Gardens kicks off the fall season with a family-friendly Fall Fest from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, where kids can paint their own pumpkin to take home, listen to a story told by a live scarecrow and play a giant tic-tac-toe game in the Oak Grove.
Guests of all ages can stuff a scarecrow, play dress-up with items from the scarecrow closet and pose with a scarecrow display for a fun photo. Easy fall cleanup tips for the yard will also be offered.
Fall Fest is included with admission to Hershey Gardens, open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. For more information visit HersheyGardens.org.
Rock n Roll Relics
WAYNESBORO >> The Rock n Roll Relics kick off the Waynesboro Community Concert Association's 79th season at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, September 26, in the Nickson W. Oyer Auditorium at Waynesboro Area High School, 550 E. 2nd St., Waynesboro.
From the sweet sound of street-corner doo-wop to the '60s sounds of The Beatles, Beach Boys, and The Mamas & The Papas, the talented foursome is authentic both in sound and appearance.
