Wine Down Friday

Relax, drink a glass of wine and enjoy some music this Friday with Wine Down Friday! This event will feature a variety of different musicians, including Patric Schlee, who will be creating original improvisational music on flute and drums, and Frank 'n' Bob, a duo of two acoustic guitarists from the Woodstock Era who bring a unique spin to classic rock favorites. Oktoberfest

Chambersburg's second annual Oktoberfest will take place this Saturday and promises to be a fun-filled day with events for all ages. The event includes a 5K race, German food and music, craft beer from Roy-Pitz and a duck derby where participants can purchase ducks and watch them race from the Park of the Valiant along the Falling Spring to the spring's convergence with the Conococheague Creek, finishing under the foot bridge between the rail trail and Chambers Fort Park. 'Ashcan to Abstraction' Opening Gala

An opening night preview gala and program will be held this Saturday evening for Washington County Museum of Fine Arts' newest exhibit, "Ashcan to Abstraction." The exhibit includes pieces from Edward Steichen, Robert Henri, Gene Davis and Joseph Deweese Holston, which reflect the effects of modernization and tells the story of changes in America.
