Prince briefly hospitalized with flu after emergency landing


One night after playing a pair of intimate shows at Atlanta's Fox Theatre, the High Priest of Pop was briefly hospitalized.

TMZ reported that Prince, 57, was transported to an area hospital early Friday following an emergency plane landing at Quad City International Airport in Moline, Illinois. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was battling the flu last week, the complications of which forced him to postpone the performances until this Thursday. According to TMZ, he fell ill again on the plane.

But it was confirmed by sources including Entertainment Weekly and People that a representative for Prince said the star was safely at home and doing fine, though still struggling with the flu.
