In a video uploaded to Snapchat, Lindsay Lohan says she cut off half of her finger and had to have an emergency surgery to fix it

It was not a pretty picture.
Early Sunday, Lindsay Lohan posted a photo and video of a heavily bandaged finger on social media with a message saying, "I almost lost my finger from the anchor. Well, I lost half my finger, thank goodness we found the piece of my finger ... I just had surgery to fix it."
But in a few hours most of the posts had disappeared from public access except for a few on Twitter linked to an Instagram post that had been made unavailable.
It was unclear from the celebrity's post where she was when the accident that she wrote about occurred.
USA TODAY has reached out to her representatives for updates on her condition.
